This highly engaging activity is completed as homeworkand then brought into class to create a working business day run solelyby the students. It will be one of the most memorable activities you do with your students all year! I have had students come back years later and tell me this was by far their most favorite thing theydid with me. Buying things and making moneyhow can life get anybetter than that, right!?
 
With this resource, students will be able to create a business project to better understand the basic economic concepts of buying and selling. Students will serve in two roles as consumers and producers on two different days or time slots. Students can create their business as simple or complexas you or their families see fit. The business can either be a product or a service (ideas are included). Businesses will have to follow normal business routines such as: designing a business plan for approval of the teacher, buying a business license, gathering everything theywill need to sell their goods etc.
 
This activity will last for an hour period for each of the two periods. Thinkof this a Swap Meet type event where kids can roam about and buy, bargain and sell their goods! And oncethis is up and running, sit back, relaxand enjoy the enthusiasm!
